Friday Reflection #FrF Life & Beyond

9d0449a44ab318265dc85041a396f60bThis week I turned 31, I am in Europe and all that feels overshadowed by the fact that my sweet cat Hobbes has been put to sleep. He was absolutely perfect. I wasn’t there for his last moments, which I am actually sort of grateful for. I want to remember him for all his good stuff , the way he cuddled, how he would always come to my room before I would go to sleep and snuggle into bed with me and how he would wrap his paw around my finger like we were holding hands. He was a friend to me in all the moments when I needed him. And for all his quirks that was just so simply Hobbes, he would knock things over to try and wake us to get fed, he had the wimpiest little meow and the way he would bump his head against the table or lick the wall. His sweet personality will stay with me forever.

How might we live for the life we have? Remember the most amazing parts and thinking about the quality of life. How will we leave impressions on the ones we love?

How might the beyond be a part of us? I know Hobbes will always be a part of me and his beyond is a where he needs to be now. I will try not to be sad that he is gone and happy that he is somewhere he can watch over us, enjoy lots of treats and snuggle all day long.
